The 11th Hour (PC CD-ROM)
It's the 23rd day on our 32 Game Endings of Christmas, which means we're in the home stretch. There are less than ten episodes left until the big Christmas Day finale! Today we're taking a look at the oft-forgotten full-motion video puzzler, The 11th Hour. This Myst-clone is the sequel to The 7th Guest. Time has not been kind to this series, but this cinema still holds up as one of the craziest endings of all time!

Previously On The 11th Hour: The 11th Hour takes place a half century after the events in The 7th Guest. You play television investigator and all around handsome guy, Carl Denning Jr. He works for a show called "Case Unsolved," a mid-1990s cable show that tackled history's biggest mysteries. At the start of the game we learn that Carl's producer (and lover) has gone missing in an old mansion. Word is that there was a grisly murder in that mansion years ago, so Carl leaps into action and tries to save the girl in distress.

Unfortunately, our hero discovers that the mansion is full of haunting mysteries and puzzles to solve. Nothing is what it appears at the Stauf Mansion, a fact that is quickly driving the main characters insane. To help the investigation, Carl is given a portable computer (known as a GameBook) by a stranger. Was this Robin trying to alert our hero ... or could it have come from Stauf himself? One thing is for sure, there's a lot of puzzle solving to do before we get to the grand finale!

How It Ended: After running down the GameBook's battery and solving all every puzzle the mansion could throw at him, Carl has finally learned the truth. Now he

I hope you like nonsensical puzzles, because that's all there is to The 11th Hour!
is given a choice between two temptresses. He wisely chooses the redhead, much to the disappointment of the brunette (and the girl in the television). It doesn't take an investigative reporter to know that Mr. Denning is about to solver her case over and over and over. As he walks into the room he sees a half-naked woman. She lies in wait on a bed. The two embrace. She slowly climbs on top of our hero and moves south. It's official, the 32 Game Endings of Christmas is about to get its first blow job!

The real unsolved mystery is how this show is still on the air all these years later!
But just when you thought this was going to turn into a porno, the sexy redhead turns into ... AN OLD DUDE? That's right; this erotic encounter just became a sausage fest. The old guy pulls off a very convincing wig and proceeds to mock Carl. He also eats meat off the bone, which is has now become the most sexual part of this entire ending. And then the old guy morphs back into the girl, then back to the old man, to the girl ... you get the point. They offer a stunned Carl a bite. A nice gesture? Not when you realize that this is no animal they're eating -- IT'S YOU!!

How It Should Have Ended: After realizing who Carl Denning works for, the ghosts strike up a deal with a Hollywood agent and pitch a series of cheesy reality shows. Over the next fifteen years the spirits create more than a dozen well known shows, turning themselves into celebrities. So far their artistic "contributions" have included Ghost Lab, Most Haunted, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal State and Celebrity Ghost Stories. Currently they are shopping around a show called: Celebrity Ghosts Human Stores.
