The Fortress of Jurassic Park!

A lot has changed since the last time we featured an episode of the Cover Critic. Both Sony and Nintendo have released new portable game systems, long time companies have shut their doors forever, and the world has been reintroduced to a certain lawyer named Jack Thompson. Heck, even this site you're looking at has changed in many ways. So maybe it's time we take another serious look at video game covers, letting you know which ones we like and which we hate. After two years I invite you to embrace a brand new Cover Critic, one that isn't afraidto tell you what we really think. So enjoy five new covers and one new look!

Fortress
The cover to the Fortress may be packed full of bright colors, but it also reminds me of the HUMANS. If you remember the Humans you'll easily see why I love this cover. It's cute, sure, but it's funny looking too. I love it.

Inspector Gadget
Well, if you are a fan of the cartoon you'll love this cover. However, if you are expecting an exciting picture you're out of luck. This cover is about as dull as they come. But at the same time, it also gets the point acrossed. It's not terribly interesting, but it's not the worst thing I've ever seen.

Gundam Wing
It seems like you should be easier for anime video games to come up with a better cover. Perhaps that's the reason I dislike this cover. It's dark, and extremely dull. I mean, it's just a mech. I'm all for interesting mech pictures, but this isn't even cool looking. Sigh. Oh well, at least we have three more Gundam games we could review.

Razor: Freestyle Scooter
It's hard to like this cover. But then again, it's hard to enjoy this game, the Tony Hawk rip off it is. But really, I'm all for Razor scooters, but did we REALLY need a video game about them? I think not. And this cover is boring, too.

Jurassic Park III
Jurassic Park movies have NEVER had interesting posters, and the games are no different. This cover is simple, and it is the Jurassic Park III logo, so it's not all bad. Just not terribly interesting. Pretty dull if you ask me. Way too much ugly text on the cover, as well.
