Electronic Gaming Monthly's Best & Worst Awards of 1992

1992 was the year when Murphy Brown got into a feud with the Vice President and won an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. It was the same year when The Crying Game surprised the Oscars and everybody was introduced to Arrested Development at the Grammys. No, not that Arrested Development, I'm talking about the band. But what about the video game awards? If you've ever wanted to know what old school games took home the top prizes, then you've definitely come to the right place. Today we're going to recreate Electronic Gaming Monthly's Best & Worst of 1992, featuring three dozen categories that range from Best Rumor to Hottest Game Babe to Strangest Lawsuit. So let me cue up the VHS tape and introduce you to the greatest televised awards show to never be broadcast. Fade to black.

Still want more? New episodes of Electronic Gaming Monthly's Best & Worst Awards Show will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of 2018. If you still can't get enough, then make sure and subscribe to the Defunct Games YouTube channel for more reviews, analysis and award shows.

Special thanks to Electronic Gaming Monthly for putting the awards together in the first place, the Oscar telecast for supplying me with so many great cutaway shots, and to you for watching this crazy video.
