Pulse vs. the Pulse

2001: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ... or so it seemed. There was great news, entertainment, and events, some will even get their own games, but then, there was some truly heinous news that likely won't be honored in as interactive entertainment. We at Defunct Games thought it would be fun to see what we COULD have had last year ... thankfully, though, we won't have to deal with these terrible ideas. But you can enjoy them nonetheless. Here are eight games we can do without!! (Make sure you check out page 2 for even more games).

Pulse

What is Pulse: Pulse is the weekly news program on G4. It's a half hour in length.
Sample Stories: On Location at Nintendo Boot Camp. The Ins and Outs of Kingdom Hearts. Full Coverage of E3 2002. And previews for G4's behind the scenese show "Icon".
Anchors: Ronilyn Reilly and Jim Downs aren't given a lot of opportunity to break out on their own here, but do provide a fairly convincing reading of the news. At it's best, though, it's just that, a reading of the news. Not to be gutter-headed, but it's worth noting that everybody I know has mentioned Ronilyn Reilly's, um, assets.
Pulse

What is The Pulse: The Pulse is the weekly news program on Fox. It's an hour in length.
Sample Stories: Exclusive Interview with Ozzy Osbourne. A Look at the Liberal Bias in Hollywood. And previews for other Fox News Channel TV shows.
Anchors: With a host of anchors from Fox's own news channel, the Pulse is instantly familiar to the three million people who watch FNC. Be it Geraldo Rivera, Laurie Dhue, or the outspoken (and occasionally inaccurate) Bill O'Reilly. This cast not only brings you the cutting news, but tells you what to think about it. Something missing from today's generally fair and balanced reporting. Or maybe I'm just biased.
