Kingdom Hearts vs. Mickey's House of Villains

In Kingdom Hearts Sora, Donald, and Goofy set out to fight some of the biggest and baddest Disney characters of all time. Characters like Jafar from Aladdin, Ursula from the Little Mermaid, and Captain Hook from Peter Pan all put up a battle epic in presentation. So what would bring these worlds together?

Well perhaps we could ask the same question to the new Disney DVD Mickey's House of Villains. This recently released Videocassette and Disney DVD features some of the biggest and baddest Disney characters of all time. Characters like Jafar from Aladdin, Ursula from the Little Mermaid, and Captain Hook from Peter Pan all put up a battle to take over the House of Mouse.

Obviously there are some differences between these two products. One is a Square game that will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The other is a Disney made for video presentation of a TV show that will have you looking for something better to watch. But the one thing that remains the same is the voice acting, and classic Disney production.

After all these years of Disney animated classics, I find it odd that it took them so long to develop a movie like this. And with its release so close to that of a game so similar, I find it a little troubling. It seems like Kingdom Hearts is perfect fodder for a TV series or even a animated movie. It's just a shame Disney had to give us such a generic example of this good idea.
