Story Breakdown: Mr. Bones (Saturn)

One of the best parts of a video game is the ending, but who has the time to go back and play through every game? Let me introduce you to Game Over: The Early Years, the weekly show where we dive into classic games and spoil both their stories and endings. From the biggest hits to obscure classics, we're taking a look at some of the best and most memorable conclusions in video game history.

From Trick or Treat to Shock Em Dead to KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, the past is littered with fun and cheesy rock 'n roll horror movies. Sadly, video game companies have largely steered clear of this sub-genre, choosing instead to give us zombie-filled mansions and first-person spookfests. But back in the 1990s, there was one game that dared to buck the trend and play some killer riffs. I'm talking about Mr. Bones by Zono Inc. and Sega, which took our skeleton hero on an adventure to out-shred a full-motion video vampire. Turn back now if you don't want to know what happens next, because today we're going to spoil the story and ending for Mr. Bones on the Sega Saturn. This is Game Over: The Early Years!
