E3 2002: 110 Memories About My First E3

With the Electronic Entertainment Expo just a few days away, every games journalist worth their salt is scrambling to write predictions, line-up interviews and be the first to break the big scoops. I've decided to go the other direction. Instead of looking forward to this year's E3, I've decided to look backwards -- to the first time I ever covered the annual trade show.

Below you will find a video made up of 110 pictures I took at E3 2002. It covers a large swath of the show, including press conferences, the show floor and, of course, Kentia Hall. These are the memories I have of covering E3 for the first time, and I think you'll get a kick out of the pictures I took.

If you enjoyed watching me tackle E3 for the first time, then I recommend you also watch PAX 2006 in 15 Minutes. This is a short video that attempts to make sense of the fledgling Penny Arcade Expo. This is before it moved to downtown Seattle, at a time when it could only attract indies and local publishers.
