Filling Out GamePro's Reader Survey from 1992

A couple weeks ago, I posted a fun little unscripted video where I voted for GamePro magazine's Reader's Choice Awards from 1993. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but the response was overwhelmingly positive. Hell, there were even people saying that it was their favorite video on the channel. So I figure, damn, with that kind of reception, let's do it again. I'm no fool. Give the people what hey want.

But instead of filling out another award's ballot, I wanted to switch things up a little bit and look at a different part of the magazine business. What I have right here is the GamePro reader survey, and this probably looks familiar. Pretty much every magazine has had something like this at one time or another, and it's designed to get feedback about who the reader is and what they want out of each issue.

This particular survey comes from 1992, which was an exciting time for GamePro magazine. Not only were things heating up in the games industry, but this was around the time J.D. Roth was hosting a syndicated show called GamePro TV. This is one of the most comprehensive surveys I could find, and you better believe I have a few things to say. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to win any of the games and prizes that are being given away, but that shouldn't take away from any of the fun. So, without further ado, I have a pencil in hand and I'm ready to answer all 35 questions. Let's do this.

And while you're just clicking on stuff at random, I suggest you head over to the Defunct Games YouTube page and subscribe to the channel. We're posting new episodes of Game Over: The Early Years every Monday, along with brand new game reviews throughout the week.
