With their lengthy reviews and in depth news reporting, Video Games & Computer Entertainment was one of the era's best magazines. Sadly, I didn't think that at the time. Excerpt: As the title suggests, Video Games & Computer Entertainment covered both video and, well, computer entertainment. This gave the critics a unique perspective, as they would routinely compare console games to the newest PC releases of the time. And since many of the big innovations would come from computer gaming, the editors of Video Games & Computer Entertainment always seemed like they were ahead of the curve.
