Microsoft's Truthful Kinect Advertisement

Fools!
I am not the target audience for Microsoft's Kinect. While it remains a sales success, there just isn't enough compelling software to make me want to spend the cash. What's more, I quickly grew tired of jumping and looking stupid while playing the Wii. The prospect of having doing the same thing on the Xbox 360 is more than I can handle. I just want a game controller and engaging gameplay, not some gimmick.

Apparently Microsoft won't be happy until everybody changes their mind and buys into the Kinect hype. This includes me. Their newest ad campaign features pretty people and The Pixies. And at that moment my icy heart started to thaw. How much would it take to win me, the world's biggest detractor, over to the Kinect's dark side? The answer is in the video below.

I look forward to Microsoft's next Kinect spot, featuring David Lynch reading the complete works of William S. Burroughs to the music of Sonic Youth covering Everything But the Girl. Now that's a commercial that would make me run to my store and buy three Kinect units!
