WALL OF TEXT EXPLAINED:
What you're looking at is an episode of Countdown w/ Defunct Games published before 2006. As you can tell, something has gone horribly awry. I won't bore you with the technical details, but it has to do with the old layout being incompatible with the new. Eventually, we would like to retrofit these old episodes of Countdown, but that will require a significant amount of time. As Defunct Games has only a limited staff, we aren't sure when we'll have the chance to fix this article. If you absolutely need to know what this article said, get a hold of us on Twitter or leave a message in the comment section below. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you will enjoy the episodes created post-2006.

Trish (Devil May Cry)
How can you go wrong with a girl that tries to push a sword through your body within the first five minutes? That's right, you can't, and that's why Trish is up for this award. Though she's not a playable character, she has more additude than half the people on this list, and you know what? I could have sworn I've seen her before ...
#4
Yuna (Final Fantasy X)
This Final Fantasy vixen is not only the spiritual tie but also the sex symbol for Tidus and his fellow adventurers. Oh sure, you barely see Yuna let her guard down, but out of the entire group she has the best lines, the most touching story, and the best voice acting. Oh yeah, and did I mention she's a Martyr?

Um Jammer Lammy (Um Jammer Lammy)
You just couldn't have a PaRappa sequel without bringing back the best rock band of all time . MILKCAN. In all seriousness, Um Jammer Lammy is back to cheer on PaRappa, but it's her unfortunate afro hair cut she sports that really sends her over the top. I know . we gotta leave it to Lammy!
#2
Demoness (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3)
This hidden character in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 doesn't actually say a word, but she does set things on fire. She also comes fully equipped with full stats and extra moves, so playing the game with her is basically just for fun. And that's why Demoness is a supporting actress. She also sets everything on fire, or did I mention that?
#1
Yorda (Ico)
She doesn't have a recognizable language. She is fairly pre-Women's Lib. And she's in SERIOUS need of saving. But Yorda easily gets my pick as the best Supporting Actress of the year, if not because she's the easiest to fall in love with. There's an innocence, a puppy love, that makes her endearing. And when bad things happen, and they do, you really WANT to be the one to save her. Now THIS is a supporting actress.
What about the Supporting Actors?
Well, frankly there weren't a lot of interesting supporting actors this year. If you consider Solid Snake a supporting character you might have him on the list. And how about Luigi from Mario Advance 2? Of course, that's a remake, so I suppose it wouldn't count (even though he wasn't in the oringal). If Apocalypse Now Redux isn't up for any awards, then I don't suppose this should be either. Hmm ... now do you understand the trouble with the supporting actors??
