Millionaire - Through the Years (Various)

With the overwhelming success of the original Who Wants to be a Millionaire, it's no wonder somebody decided to create Super Millionaire. Here's a game that was ten times bigger than the original and on a brand new game system, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. To the laymen this new Super Millionaire was a perfect fit.

This new Super installment didn't just offer you more money, it gave the game a photo-realistic look the 8-Bit installment couldn't provide. You were also given more questions to try to figure out, as well as two new life lines (one that let you choose twice and one that let you ask three virtual "experts" who would get it wrong 9 out of 10 times). It's questionable if the improvements to the actual game play was enough to warrant this sequel, but the presentation was certainly better and the Super NES allowed four players to take part in the Fastest Finger Question.

Though the presentation was greatly improved, Super Millionaire's audience was especially annoying in this version. Every time a character said something even slightly funny the audience would erupt into a fountain of laughter, as if they were watching George Carlin on a good night. The audience seems to over do it with all their other sounds, such as the long "ahhhhhhhh" they gasp when a fianc?e is introduced or a baby picture is shown. It would have been nice for the makers of Super Millionaire to give us an option where we didn't have to listen to the audience, most of whom were perplexed on how to park their car let alone answer these hard-ass questions!
